COVER-UPS

Designed with the scar,
not simply placed over it.

WORKING WITH THE SCAR

Every scar is different.

Instead of simply placing a tattoo over it, I design with its shape, direction and texture in mind, allowing the scar to become part of the composition.

The goal is not always to make the scar disappear — it is to make your eye stop looking for it.

WHEN COLOR HAS A PURPOSE

Color isn’t always just an aesthetic choice.
In some cases, it becomes part of the camouflage strategy.

When a scar has noticeable hyperpigmentation, fine black linework alone may not provide enough visual coverage. Carefully placed color can help soften the contrast and integrate the scar more naturally into the design.

The goal is still the same — to work with the scar, not simply tattoo over it

THE RIGHT DESIGN MATTERS

The key to a successful scar cover-up is choosing the right design.

Instead of fighting the direction of the scars, I use their natural flow as part of the composition. The lines, leaves and other elements are placed to follow and visually break up the scar pattern.

When the design moves naturally with the scars, they become much less noticeable — without the tattoo feeling like it was created simply to hide them.
